A digital billboard truck on the road touring around the city of Kuala Lumpur, a city with congested roads filled with vehicles is an innovative light bulb. We have to say from advertisers’ perspective, yes it benefits them. But we did ask ourselves (the team from Impressor), would this be dangerous for pedestrians on the streets or motorist on roads?
So we did our research and some reading. In the United States; a company doing digital billboard truck was cited with 2 fines. The reason for it was because the screen on the truck was flashing blue lights which could confuse motorist as blue light represents the police patrol car.
Another reason was because the brightness emitted from the digital screen can be unpleasant to the eyes of public.
In order for Impressor to be safe on the road and while touring; we came up with a policy to rectify the problem.
Impressor will only display video visuals while being station at locations and minimize the traveling time by stopby at only 4 locations per day. This precaution will help motorist to focus more onto their driving instead of being easily distracted.
Another precaution taken is when during rainy days or night time; the emitting brightness of the digital screen will be adjusted to suit the comfort of the eyes. We want our audiences to feel pleasant when watching the advertisements on our screens.
Finally we would want some feedback from our readers on how we can improve the quality of our digital billboard truck, Impressor and if there are anything that you want us to change in order for us to provide a better service. We want to listen to your opinion.
